About Doctor Who

A Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey known as the Doctor fights monsters and solves evil crimes alongside an earthly companion, traveling through time in his spaceship, a blue police box known as the TARDIS. The Doctor, when injured, can transform into a new physical form. There have been ten Time Lords since the show began in 1963, and the tenth Time Lord, played by actor David Tennant, bids the Whoniverse adieu with new U.S. premiere specials.
