Whitney Houston's performance on this past Sunday's X Factor (Simon Cowell's British answer to American Idol) received a thumbs-down from viewers and critics. The Daily Telegraph says, "She sang her single 'Million Dollar Bill,' over some pre-recorded vocals, and suffered a wardrobe malfunction when a strap at the back of her long silver dress snapped open. Questions were also raised about Houston's physical condition as she looked drowsy and did not speak clearly when being interviewed by host Dermot O'Leary."

Based on Cheryl Cole's performance on Sunday's X Factor, The Daily Telegraph's Lucy Jones concludes that the Girls Aloud singer does not have the X Factor: "I don't know whether the rumors that she mimed the song are true, but her voice sounded pretty average. in regards to Whitney, she really wasn't much of a "dancer"...if you watch her old videos...most of the dancers move around her instead of Whitney dancing. But her voice more than makes up for that. It is good to see her clean and sober, let's hope she stays that way.
