A trio of U.K. and Ireland rising stars – Aimee Lou Wood, Lolly Adefope and Nicola Coughlan – are to lead the historical comedy movie Seize Them!.
Screen Daily reports that shooting is already underway on the movie, which will co-star Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) and Jessica Hynes (Years and Years, W1A).
Directed by Curtis Vowell (Fantail, Baby Done), the movie will follow a power struggle between two fictional female leaders living in the Dark Ages. Wood, known for her BAFTA award-winning role in Sex Education, will play Queen Dagan, a tyrannical monarch who is challenged by Humble Joan, a charismatic revolutionary portrayed by Bridgerton star Coughlan. 
Queen Dagan then embarks on a mission to win back her throne with help from Shulmay (Thrill actress Adefope), a former servant, and Bobik, a laborer played by Frost. The movie, which is shooting now in Kent and Wales, has a script by Emmy-winning Veep writer Andy Riley.
Frost shares his thoughts on the project, saying in a statement, "The chance to shoot in Wales, the land of my Fathers, with Aimee and Lolly saying the terrific words, out loud, that Andy Riley has written, was a sweet temptation I found hard to resist."
