Andrew Scott is set to star in a live-streamed play from London's Old Vic Theatre for five nights beginning next week.

The Sherlock and Fleabag actor will appear in the world premiere of Three Kings, a brand new play written especially for him by Stephen Beresford, writer of the films Pride (which Scott starred in) and Tolkien.

The play is billed as a "hilarious and heartbreaking" story exploring "fathers and sons, the gifts and burdens of inheritance, and the unfathomable puzzle of human relationships," The Independent reports.

It's the second in the Old Vic's series of "In Camera" productions aiming to raise money for the historic London theater while it's closed due to coronavirus. Matt Smith and Claire Foy starred in a live-streamed production of the parenthood-themed play Lungs earlier this month.

Three Kings is being staged by the Old Vic's Artistic Director Matthew Warchus, who said: “I am hugely grateful to Stephen for writing this play especially for the Old Vic: In Camera series and to Andrew for agreeing to perform it. Their generous support of the Old Vic at this critical time and their spirit of adventure in joining us in this crucial fundraising experiment is enormously appreciated.”

Scott will star in Three Kings for five performances taking place between Wednesday, July 29 and Saturday, August 1. Tickets will go on sale this Wednesday (July 22) at 5am EST, priced at £10 ($12.50) to £40 ($50) per device. Streams will be viewable from anywhere in the world.

He previously starred in Old Vic productions of Simon Stephens' play Sea Wall and Noël Coward's Present Laughter, earning himself an Olivier award nomination for the latter.
