Benedict Cumberbatch has added another major accolade to his résumé after being given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The actor was joined at an unveiling ceremony Monday (February 28) by wife Sophie Hunter, Star Trek Into Darkness director J.J. Abrams, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, and his The Power of the Dog co-star Kodi Smit-McPhee.
Cumberbatch took the opportunity to pay tribute to his late sister, Tracy Peacock, an artist, who died of cancer in December, reports Variety.
During his acceptance speech, he said, "I want to mention my sister who we lost last year. She would have loved this. She was unbelievably loyal, supportive, and she would have loved the glitz and the oddness and the glamour. She would have just been laughing nonstop all the way through, and probably crying."
Cumberbatch added touchingly: "I hope somewhere up there, where the real stars shine, you're looking down on this moment now. I'm sure you are. We miss you so much. You remain such a good and wonderful person to have had in our lives."

This month brings the potential for more honors. His performance in The Power of the Dog is being recognized by his peers. He has been nominated for Best Actor at the BAFTA Film Awards, which takes place on March 13, and at the Academy Awards, which follows on March 27.
You can catch him chatting about the Gothic Western movie on this week's episode of The Graham Norton Show, which airs Friday at 11pm EST on BBC America. He'll be joined by fellow guests RuPaul, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Diane Morgan, Years & Years, and Regard.
