Betty White Tells Fans She's In 'Such Good Health' As She Approaches Her 100th Birthday

Betty White has told fans she is in "such good health" as she approaches her 100th birthday.
The TV legend, known for her roles in The Golden Girls, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and Life with Elizabeth, will turn 100 on January 17. To mark the milestone birthday, she has given an interview to People in which she describes herself as a "cock-eyed optimist."
"I got it from my mom, and that never changed," she added. "I always find the positive."
White's popularity has proved so enduring that she has been recognized by Guinness World Records as having the longest TV career of any female entertainer. "I'm so lucky to be in such good health and feel so good at this age," she told People. "It's amazing." She also said playfully of her diet: "I try to avoid anything green. I think it's working."
White has won seven Emmy awards during her career, and charmed a whole new generation by co-starring opposite Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds in the 2009 movie The Proposal, then hosting Saturday Night Live the following year.
"Timing isn't easy in comedy, because you have to navigate other people's timing. Betty pivots like I have never seen, making it look seamless," Bullock told People.  "The rest of us just remain silent and pray we're not cut out of the scene."
We're sure you'll join us in wishing Betty White a very happy birthday in a few weeks' time.
