Brideshead Revisited is being revisited, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its premiere in 1981.
The 11-part series is being re-released as a 4K remastered version, aka a higher resolution, on October 12, over at BritBox. 
Based on Evelyn Waugh's 1945 novel, the story revolves around two students attending Oxford. Charles Ryder and Sebastian Flyte meet unexpectedly, when Ryder happens upon Flyte getting sick in the bathroom. Flyte attempts to redeem himself by befriending Ryder.
From there, the two spend a lot of time together, at school and at Flyte's family home. Where, Ryder becomes smitten with Flyte's sister.
Here's a peek at the restoration trailer, starring Jeremy Irons and Anthony Andrews in the leads.

The young men come from different backgrounds, with Ryder (Irons) having no money and Flyte (Andrews) growing up with wealth.
Ryder gets caught up in the comfortable lifestyle. So much so, it begins to overshadow his friendship, which is what got him there.
There are no plans to re-release Brideshead Revisited via BritBox in the U.K., reports BroadBandTVNews.com.
