It’s been a minute since we’ve seen Dan Stevens. But that’s just changed, with him taking the lead in the forthcoming Godzilla vs. Kong sequel, reports Deadline.
Stevens is teaming up with director Adam Wingard, who he worked with on 2014’s The Guest. There isn’t a ton of information about the movie’s storyline, but of course, we can look for Godzila and King Kong making their appearance on the big screen. And, it sounds like they will be going to battle.
It’s pure speculation, but we suppose Stevens’ character will be caught in the middle, one way or another.
Speaking of The Guest, there’s been talk of a sequel. Wingard played a little prank on April Fool’s Day releasing a fake soundtrack for the nonexistent The Guest 2, which sparked enough interest, that he’s now thinking about making it happen.
In a recent interview with Empire, Wingard said, "It's really pushed me and Simon [Barrett, writer] into a creative headspace. We're talking about develop[ing] a potential sequel as a real project."
There’s no start date for Godzilla vs. Kong 2 just yet. In the meantime, let’s take a look back at the original:
