What does one do after starring as the iconic James Bond? Head to the iconic stages of Broadway in NYC.

Daniel Craig, who has been portraying 007 since 2006, is switching gears, taking a break from filming and instead going live.

Craig is set to star in the forthcoming production of Macbeth, opposite Ruth Negga (Preacher), reports Deadline. Craig will portray the Scottish general Macbeth, with Negga as his wife, Lady Macbeth.

Based on Shakespeare's play, the story revolves around Macbeth who strives to become King of England, with the consult of three witches.

Directed by Sam Gold, performances will begin in March, with it officially opening in April. You can look for Macbeth at Lyceum Theatre.

Macbeth producer Barbara Broccoli, who is also a long-time Bond producer, said in a statement, "Daniel is not only a great film actor but a magnificent theater actor as well. I am thrilled that he will be supporting the return of Broadway playing this iconic role with the exquisitely talented Ruth Negga making her Broadway debut and under the expert direction of Sam Gold.”

This isn't Craig's first time on Broadway, having most recently starred in the 2013 production of Betrayal.

We're definitely looking forward to Craig's return to Broadway, but in the meantime, he has one more go as Bond.

You can look for Craig in No Time to Die, premiering on October 8.

He's not done with movies, he's signed up for The Creed of Violence and Knives Out 3, but for now, it seems like he could use a breather.
