Elisabeth Moss is teaming up with Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight for a European thriller series called The Veil.
According to Variety, the FX series will explore the "surprising and fraught relationship" between two women on a road trip from Istanbul to Paris and then London. One woman is said to be carrying a secret, while the other is determined to expose it.
There's no word yet on which of the women Moss is playing, or who her co-star might be. But, going head-to-head with Moss in a story like this would surely be a dream role for almost any actress. After all, Moss is a two-time Emmy winner for her work on The Handmaid's Tale.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to be telling this story, which is truly international and very contemporary,” said Knight, who also co-created Taboo with Tom Hardy. Knight added that he has "wanted to work with Elisabeth Moss for a long time."
Although Peaky Blinders' sixth and final season has recently aired, Knight is definitely keeping busy. Last week he confirmed that a Peaky Blinders movie is in the works. He said it will be shot in the Digbeth neighborhood of Birmingham, which is "where the [real life] Peaky Blinders actually roamed."
