We just saw Ethan Hawke in the Moon Knight trailer, opposite Oscar Isaac.
And, here he is again, having signed on for Leave the World Behind, reports Empire online. He’ll be joining Julia Roberts and Mahershala Ali, who were cast previously.
The story revolves around a married couple and their teenage kids, who are on vacation in Long Island. They are seeking reprieve from city life, which is interrupted by a knock on the door.
The owners of the country home arrive in a panic, saying there’s a blackout in NYC. They decided to head to their investment residence for shelter and safety.
The couple have no way of confirming their story, as there’s no internet, TV or cell service.  
We suppose, they could get in the car and witness it first-hand, but that doesn’t sound ideal.
It’s not just the lack of electricity, but there’s a sonic boom that’s having an impact on nature.
And, ultimately, the stress of it all, is having an impact on the mental health of the two couples, now under one roof.
In addition to Hawke, Roberts and Ali, we can also look for Myha’la Herrold, Ryan Kiera Armstrong and Charlie Evans.
The movie is based on Rumaan Alam’s novel by the same name, which published in 2020. 
Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail is set to write and direct. This will reunite Esmail and Roberts who collaborated on 2018’s Homecoming.
