It's official: Florence Pugh is returning to the MCU. Deadline reports that the Oscar-nominated actress will reprise her role as Yelena Belova in the upcoming superhero movie Thunderbolts.
Pugh forms part of an impressive ensemble cast that includes David Harbour, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Sebastian Stan, Hannah John-Kamen, Wyatt Russell and Olga Kurylenko.
Directed by Jake Schreier (Paper Towns), the movie is said to center on a group of villains who carry out government-sanctioned missions, though exact plot details are being kept under wraps. It's due in theaters July 26, 2024, so there's a while to wait.
Pugh previously played Yelena Belova in 2021's Black Widow, which starred Scarlett Johansson in the title role and Anglo favorite Rachel Weisz. You can also look for Pugh in Don't Worry Darling, a mysterious psychological thriller movie, Dune: Part II and Christopher Nolan's upcoming film Oppenheimer.
