Scottish action star Gerard Butler first portrayed secret service agent Mike Banning in 2013's Olympus Has Fallen. He has since reprised the role two more times, returning for 2016's London Has Fallen and 2019's Angel Has Fallen.

You may have thought the franchise had topped off at three, but... nope. There's now a fourth installment in the works, entitled Night Has Fallen.

Oooh, the new title is indeed intriguing, and the storyline could land on anything. But, as of now, a description is yet to be announced.

But, we do know, both Angel Has Fallen's writer Robert Kamen and director Ric Roman Waugh are set to return.

If the franchise is new to you, here's a look back at the trailers for the first three:

In the first film, Banning is called on to protect the U.S. President. In the second film, he's called on to protect world leaders who have gathered for the U.K.'s Prime Minister's funeral.

In the third film... he has to protect himself, aka Guardian Angel, as he's been set up to look like the threat.

Right before Angel Has Fallen was released, Butler talked about second chances, saying in an interview with The A.V. Club, "When the whole world turns against him. When everyone loses belief in you. You just gotta have that bit of belief in yourself."

At this point, Banning has redeemed himself, and we're excited to see what comes next.

What about you?
