Hannah Waddingham has joined the cast of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, the eighth and final installment in the Tom Cruise-led spy franchise.

Waddingham's role in the blockbuster is currently unknown, but on Instagram, director Christopher McQuarrie shared a photo of the Emmy-winning actress looking very focused indeed.

Waddingham joins a frankly incredible cast that includes franchise regulars Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, Henry Czerny, and Rebecca Ferguson, as well as Nick Offerman, Hayley Atwell, Janet McTeer, and Mark Gatiss. The movie is due for release on June 28, 2024.

In the meantime, we'll see Waddingham reprise her Emmy-winning role as soccer club owner Rebecca Welton in the new season of Ted Lasso, which returns to Apple TV+ this week. It has also been announced that Waddingham will co-host his year's Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final in May alongside Graham Norton.
