We just mentioned Idris Elba the other day, he’s starring in the reality series Idris Elba’s Fight School. And now here we are again with another Elba update.

It’s just been announced, Elba has signed on to star in the Apple TV+ series Hijacked, reports Deadline.

As the title suggests, the story takes place on a plane. Elba stars as a business negotiator who puts his skill set to use when the plane he is on is taken over. The creators of the series take it one step further, the story is told in real-time.

The flight is headed to London, which is seven hours, and the plot matches up with the timing.

Here is the official synopsis: “Told in real-time, the series is a tense, thriller that follows the journey of a hijacked plane as it makes its way to London over a seven-hour flight, and authorities on the ground scramble for answers. It will center around Sam Nelson, an accomplished negotiator in the business world who needs to step up and use all his guile to try and save the lives of the passengers – but, his high-risk strategy could be his undoing.”

The synopsis doesn’t reveal who has hijacked the plane, but we shall find out soon enough.
