Heartstopper star Kit Connor has lined up a lead role in One of Us, a mystery-horror movie due to start shooting in Northern Ireland later this month (March).
Deadline reports that the film will also star Callum Woodhouse (The Durrells), Ian Beattie (Game of Thrones), Charlotte Hope (Game of Thrones), and Siobhan Fallon-Hogan (Wayward Pines). Up-and-coming filmmaker Stefan van de Graaff is writing and directing the Belfast-based production.
One of Us will take place at a funeral where members of a family mysteriously begin dying, one by one. Connor will play the youngest member, who takes it upon himself to find a stranger in their midst.
The 19-year-old actor is riding high thanks to his breakthrough role in queer coming-of-age series Heartstopper, for which he won the Children's and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Performance. He is also known for his voice role as Pantalaimon in His Dark Materials and for playing the young Elton John in hit biopic Rocketman.
Meanwhile, his Heartstopper co-star Joe Locke has also lined up a high-profile new role, opposite Kathryn Hahn in the Marvel series Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
