Louis Partridge, who you may have spotted in 2020’s Enola Holmes as Tewkesbury, is set to star in the forthcoming thriller series Disclaimer, according to Variety.
Partridge's other acting credits include 2017’s Paddington 2 and 2019’s Medici, but he is fairly new to the scene. His first on-screen role was in 2014, starring in one episode of Boomers.
Here we are now, and he’s joining an all-star cast. What do we mean by all-star? Oh, he’ll be on-set with Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Hoyeon. That is quite the line-up, with the cast set to help tell a very twisty-turvy story.
The official description outlines what to expect, reading: “In the series, Blanchett will portray Catherine Ravenscroft, a successful and respected television documentary journalist whose work has been built on revealing the concealed transgressions of long-respected institutions. When an intriguing novel written by a widower, played by Kline, appears on her bedside table, she is horrified to realize she is a key character in a story that she had hoped was long buried in the past. A story that reveals her darkest secret. A secret she thought was hers alone.”
We are definitely intrigued to find out what this “secret” is. Also, we're interested in learning more about Partridge’s character, Jonathan Brigstocke, which has yet to be revealed.
In addition to this latest casting, Partridge has completed filming on the miniseries Pistol, portraying Sid Vicious. We can also look for him Enola Holmes 2, premiering later this year.
Disclaimer is based on Renee Knight’s 2015 novel, with Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity) set to direct. The release date is still to come, but once completed, you can look for the series over at Apple TV+.
