Casting News: Mads Mikkelsen Joins Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge in 'Indiana Jones 5'

The upcoming Indiana Jones movie just got even more exciting with news that Mads Mikkelsen has joined the cast.

Earlier this month Phoebe Waller-Bridge also signed up to star opposite Harrison Ford in the movie, which is being directed by Wolverine's James Mangold.

According to Deadline, shooting is due to start this summer and the movie has been given a release date of July 29, 2022. However, there's no word yet on the characters that Mikkelsen and Waller-Bridge are playing. All plot details for Indiana Jones 5 are being kept under wraps, too, but we do know that the great John Williams will be composing the score.

Indiana Jones is the second huge movie franchise that Mikkelsen has joined in the last six months. He's also taking over from Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts threequel.

The Danish actor is coming off rave reviews (and a BAFTA nomination) for his performance in the comedy-drama movie Another Round, which is nominated for Best International Feature Film and Best Director at the upcoming Academy Awards.
