Steven Moffat is set to adapt Audrey Niffenegger’s 2003 novel The Time Traveler’s Wife for TV.
Up until now, casting had yet to be confirmed. Well, that’s just changed.
You can look for Game of Thrones actress Rose Leslie in the title role, starring opposite Theo James (Sandition) as her husband, reports ComingSoon.net.
The storyline follows a man (James) who is diagnosed with a disorder that results in “his genetic clock being re-set.” He finds himself returning to impactful moments that have already transpired in the past or are about to happen in the future.
His wife is aware of his ability to time travel and grows accustomed to him popping in and out of her life.

In 2009, the book was adapted for the big screen, starring Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams

This will not be Moffat’s first time working on a series that revolves around a time traveler, having been showrunner for the fan favorite Doctor Who from 2009-2017.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Moffat gave viewers heads up on what to expect – actually, what not to expect – saying, “It bears no resemblance to anything I’ve done in terms of time travel before.”
The six-part series is heading to HBO and is predicted to premiere this spring.
If you’d like to have a catch-up with Leslie, you can find her in the crime drama Vigil:
