Sacha Baron Cohen is lining up his first TV role since the 2019 miniseries The Spy.

According to Deadline, he is "in talks" to join Disclaimer, the upcoming Apple TV+ series from Oscar-winning Roma director Alfonso Cuarón.

Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline have already been cast in the thriller series based on a novel by Renee Knight. We learned in December that Blanchett will play Catherine Ravenscroft, a respected documentary maker known for exposing the dirty secrets of prestigious institutions. Her life is turned upside down when she finds a mysterious novel written by Kline's character that seems to contain a few secrets from her own life.

Baron Cohen's role in the series is apparently being kept "under wraps." The British actor-writer-comedian is coming off a stellar 2021 which saw him earn two Oscar nominations: Best Supporting Actor for The Trial Of The Chicago Seven and Best Adapted Screenplay for Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. For the latter, he also won two Golden Globe Awards.
