Killing Eve fans will know Sandra Oh has serious comedy chops, so it's awesome to hear she's signed up to star opposite Awkwafina in an upcoming Netflix comedy movie.
Oh and Awkwafina will play chalk-and-cheese sisters in the currently untitled film written by Jen D'Angelo, who has also penned the screenplay for Disney+'s upcoming Hocus Pocus sequel.
The @NetflixFilm account tweeted: "Awkwafina & Sandra Oh in a comedy together? Literally a dream come true. In a new film written by Jen D’Angelo, a lonely recluse's life is upended when her train wreck of a sister vows to help her fulfill her lifelong ambition: be a contestant on her favorite game show."
Is Oh playing the "lonely recluse" and Awkwafina the "train wreck," or vice versa? We don't know yet, but Deadline reports that both actresses are serving as producers on the movie alongside Will Ferrell.
Even more excitingly, this is the second movie role Oh has lined up in a month. She's also signed up to star in Umma, a supernatural horror movie named after the Korean word for "mother." In the meantime, you can catch her in Killing Eve episodes here.
