Stephen Graham has joined the cast of Bodies, an eight-part crime thriller series based on Si Spencer's graphic novel.
Deadline reports that Graham will play Elias Mannix, a character who is "central to the story." And that story definitely sounds interesting, because according to DC Comics' original synopsis for Bodies, it's a "mystery with four detectives, four time periods, and four dead bodies – all set in London."
Shira Haas (Unorthodox) has also signed up to appear in the Netflix series, joining previously announced cast members, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (The Queen’s Gambit), Kyle Soller (Poldark), and Amaka Okafor (The Split).
Graham is coming off a hot streak that saw him nominated for two BAFTA TV Awards earlier this year, including Supporting Actor for the miniseries Time and Leading Actor for the Covid-themed TV movie Help. You can watch Help, which co-stars Killing Eve's Jodie Comer, on Acorn TV.
Graham also received a BAFTA Film Award nomination at the start of 2022 for his performance as a professional chef under severe pressure in Boiling Point. And we'll see him later this year in Matilda the Musical, the Roald Dahl adaptation starring Emma Thompson premiering in December.
