Frank Herbert's 1965 sci-fi fantasy novel Dune was made into a feature film in 1984, and we're getting a remake of the cult classic with Timothée Chalamet starring as the hero Paul Atreides.

And, every good guy needs a baddie to go up against. Who shall play his villainous uncle, Baron Harkonnen? According to Empire online we can look for Stellan Skarsgård to step into the role of Atreides' arch-nemesis. You may remember Skarsgård from 1997's Good Will Hunting and more recently in 2018's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.

The story revolves around Atreide, who is forced into the deserts when his father is assassinated. There he finds allies and the strength to fight back against the empire that overthrew the kingdom once overseen by the Atredie family.

The original movie was written and directed by David Lynch (Twin Peaks), with Blade Runner 2049 director Denis Villeneuve taking the helm for the next version.

Kyle MacLachlan took the lead as the prodigal son in the original. And, if you think you saw Sir Patrick Stewart in the above clip, you weren't wrong. Stewart starred as Gurney Halleck, Atreides' weapons teacher.

The scene-stealer from the 1984 film is probably Sting, who played Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, the Baron's (Kenneth McMillan) nephew. Funny enough, Stewart didn't know who Sting was at the time of filming, which he chats about in the below clip:

What!? Stewart had his very own Notting Hill  "what do you do" moment before there was a Notting Hill movie.

That's a bit of fun trivia, but back to the current topic, the next Dune will also star Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica and Dave Bautista as Glossu Rabban.

There's no set release date, but it's said that filming will begin this spring in Budapest.
