We were just talking about Daniel Craig talking about the Knives Out franchise. And now, there’s a first look trailer for the sequel, entitled Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, reports ComingSoon.net.
Craig starred in 2019’s whodunit Knives Out, written and directed by Rian Johnson. Craig is back at it, starring in the titular role of detective Beniot Blanc. And Johnson is back writing and directing.
The sequel takes place in Greece, and as the title suggests there’s a mystery. Other than that, the storyline has been just that… a mystery. But, that’s all about to change. In the newly released trailer, we see a group of tourists who have signed up for a murder-mystery trip.
In the trailer, we hear a person off-screen saying, “Ladies and gentleman, you expected a mystery, you expected a puzzle, but for one person on this island, this is not a game.” It turns out that voice belongs to Blanc, with him going on to say, “Lock the doors, stay in your rooms, everyone is in danger.”
With the new trailer, we get some clues as what to expect:
Well, that doesn’t sound like much of a vacation. But, it does sound like an adventure. And, that’s what this group signed up for. It seems this whodunit is more like a who's going to do it. According to the above, it – whatever it is – hasn’t happened yet.
Craig is set to star opposite Kathryn Hahn, Ethan Hawke, Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, and Madelyn Cline.
You can look for the premiere of Glass Onion over at Netflix on December 23.
