David Tennant and Peter Davison Reunite for 'Doctor Who' Audio Story

Surely David Tennant and Peter Davison spend time together outside of work, with Tennant being Davison's son-in-law. Tennant and his wife Georgia met on the set of Doctor Who in 2008 while filming "The Doctor and His Daughter," and married in 2011.

While they may enjoy family time, it's still fun to learn that the two are teaming up for more DW. Tennant and Davison are set to reprise their roles as the Tenth Doctor and Fourth Doctor, respectively, for the forthcoming Big Finish audio drama "Doctor Who – Out of Time: The Gates of Hell." The special is the second in a trilogy, which stars multiple Doctors.

This isn't the first time they're saddling up together, having starred in the August 2020 special, "Doctor Who: Out of Time."

Davison talked to the RadioTimes about the experience, saying, "It was slightly intimidating, what with David and Mark Gatiss in the story, I felt like I had to up my game."

Yep, we can also look for Gatiss, who is another DW alum. He's set to star as a character named Joseph Delon.

Tennant also chimed in about working on the special with his father-in-law, saying, "It’s rather nice. It’s lovely. I suppose we first met each other in a work environment so it’s quite nice to revisit that."

The story is written by David Llewellyn, with the description reading: "Paris, 1809. The Fifth Doctor takes a tour of the Catacombs and meets a sassy Time Agent doing the same… Paris, 1944. The Tenth Doctor misses his target and lands in occupied France. He hides from the Nazis in the Catacombs. A collision of two Doctors’ timelines triggers a temporal catastrophe, granting the Cybermen dominion over the Earth. The Doctors must travel back in time to find the source of the Cyber-invasion and close the Gates of Hell…”

You can look for the audio drama coming out this June via Big Finish.
