Marvel's Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role, premiered in 2016. Elizabeth Olsen (Godzilla) is set to join the sequel, Doctor Strange in the Universe of Madness, which will premiere in 2022.
Olsen will reprise her role as Scarlet Witch, which we first saw her as in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. She's scheduled to head to London to start filming in December and talked about the different way of life in the U.K., saying in an interview with Conde Naste Traveller, "I feel as if British people work to live, they don’t live to work, unlike in L.A. and New York."
While she's heading overseas for work, it seems she's looking forward to the travel aspect as well, saying, "I am moving back soon to film the sequel to Doctor Strange, so I’ll be there for Christmas, just outside London. Even given the current circumstances, it will be a nice trip."
If you aren't familiar with the Doctor Strange franchise, the original film revolves surgeon Dr. Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch). Following a car accident, he is no longer able to practice medicine. He sets out on a search for answers, which results in him developing superhero powers.
Here's a look at the trailer to help fill in the blanks:
In addition to Cumberbatch returning for the sequel, we can look for original cast members Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo and Benedict Wong as Wong.
Per usual, when it comes to the MCU, the plot is unknown.
Do you agree with Olsen's observation on life being more relaxed in the U.K.?
