'Elle' Star Isabelle Huppert Stars Opposite Chloë Grace Moritz in Thriller 'Greta' Trailer
Isabelle Huppert recently landed on Anglohenia in our weekly pop culture roundup On the Beat, featuring the French actress' starring role in the revenge drama Elle, which she won the 2016 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion picture, Drama.
She's now back on our radar, taking the lead in the thriller entitled Greta, opposite Chloë Grace Moritz (Suspiria).
The very, very brief description for Greta reads: "A young woman befriends a lonely widow."
Hmm, we're thinking there's more to the story than that. In earlier reports, the film is being described as a"stalker thriller," which provides some background.
The newly released trailer speeds us up on who is the stalker and the stalkee.

Director Neil Jordan's choice in music for the above clip is delightfully deceiving. If we didn't know better, we'd think this is a coming-of-age film with the cheerful beat. And... then... things take a turn (as they do in thrillers).
We have to give Greta (Huppert) some credit for her manner in making, actually trapping, new friends. She plants lost purses throughout New York City, and ta-dah, the finder shows up on her doorstep.
We mentioned Huppert starring in the killer-thriller Elle above. Also, this isn't Grace Moritz's first turn at the thriller genre, starring as a child actor in 2010's supernatural Let Me In and more recently in Suspiria, opposite Anglo regular Tilda Swinton.
You can look for both of these dynamic actresses in Greta this coming March 1.
What would you do if you found a lost purse on the NYC subway!?
