Emma Watson Shares Photo of Her 'Little Women' Co-Stars on Set
Things are very cozy on the set of Great Gerwig's adaptation of Little Women, if a photo shared by Emma Watson yesterday (December 13) is anything to go by.
The vintage-style photo uploaded to Emma's Instagram account shows the Harry Potter star with director Greta and fellow co-stars Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen and Timothée Chalamet.
Captured on set and in costume, they play Meg March, Jo March, Amy March, Beth March and Laurie respectively, as Emma's heartfelt caption points out.
This also marks the first time we've seen Timothée in character, as the March family's rich next door neighbor Laurie. We also particularly like the pipe Saoirse is rocking as second-oldest sister Jo March.
We got a first look at the sisters when they were recently spotted filming numerous scenes for the period drama, which tells the tale of four sisters as they come of age in an America still recovering from the Civil War.
This on-screen version of Louisa May Alcott's classic 1868 novel is hardly its first adaptation, but is highly anticipated nonetheless. There's the impressive cast, which also includes Meryl Streep and Laura Dern (who aren't pictured) as Aunt March and Marmee respectively, but it's also director Greta's first film after Lady Bird, her award-winning and critically acclaimed debut that also starred Saoirse and Timothée.
Little Women is due to open in a year's time on December 25, 2019.
Can you wait that long?
