We just mentioned Harry Styles in a recent casting update, as he’s set to star in Don’t Worry Darling, opposite Florence Pugh. Here he is again, teaming up with another heavy hitter, The Crown’s Emma Corrin, for the forthcoming My Policeman, reports Radio Times.
The movie is based on Bethan Roberts’ 2012 novel. The story revolves around a policeman, as the title suggests, played by Styles. Styles take on the character of Tom, a man who prefers men. In an attempt to keep his private life private, Tom marries a young woman named Marion (Corrin).
According to the description, Marion is smitten with him, which leads us to believe she's genuinely in love with her husband. Tom, on the other hand, has a love interest named Patrick (David Dawson).
It doesn’t sound like this is going to end well for anyone involved.
Filming has begun, with the story set in 1957 Brighton, England:

It’s not promised the movie will follow the novel exactly, but if you’d like to take a peek at the book’s synopsis, you can do so over at GoodReads.com. There is a line that stands out, reading, “The two lovers must share him, until one of them breaks and three lives are destroyed.”
Director Michael Grandage describes the story as a bit of a love triangle, saying in an interview with Vanity Fair, “This story is about two people that are in love with Tom, slightly obsessed with him. Harry – the world is so transfixed on him, on his every move.”
If you now have Styles on the brain, here’s a peek at the trailer for his latest project:
