Sir Michael Caine turns 90 today (March 14), but he isn't ready to slow down just yet.

To mark his milestone birthday, filmmakers Pathé have released a new image from his forthcoming movie The Great Escaper. In a story inspired by true events, Caine stars as Bernard Jordan, an elderly war veteran who "escaped" from his English care home in 2014 so that he could join fellow veterans in France.

The occasion was the 70th-anniversary commemoration of the famed D-Day Landings in Normandy. The stirring image shows Caine's Bernard Jordan standing on board a boat, proudly sporting his war medals and giving a Navy salute.

The movie, due later this year, co-stars Glenda Jackson as Jordan's wife Irene. Ol Parker (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Mamma Mia! Here Go Again) directs from a screenplay by William Ivory (Burton and Taylor).

It adds to Caine's incredible tally of more than 175 acting credits, according to IMDb. Many happy returns, Sir Michael, and here's to many more prosperous years.
