Nicole Kidman is just coming off 2020's killer-thriller The Undoing and has another mystery series lined up, called Nine Perfect Strangers, reports ComingSoon.net.

The limited series, an adaptation of Liane Moriarty's 2018 novel, is set at a wellness retreat, which doesn't sound all that scary but something is amiss. Kidman takes on the role of a guru, who watches over the guests at the Tranquilim House. According to the description, it takes just 10 days for these city dwellers to bounce back from the stresses that have piled up, achieving "healing and transformation."

That is quite the promise and makes us wonder what's going on over at this facility.

The recently released trailer expands on their treatment:

In the above, we see the resort's residents laying in holes dug into the ground that look like... graves. Okay, we are officially at scary.

Kidman is joined by other familiar faces, including Melissa McCarthy, Luke Evans, Michael Shannon, Regina Hall and Bobby Cannavale.

Nine Perfect Strangers is set to stream over at Hulu, with a premiere date still to come.

You may know Moriarty's 2014 novel Big Little Lies, which we saw adapted for TV in 2017, also starring Kidman:
