First Look: Sarah Lancashire and James Norton Return for ‘Happy Valley’ Season Three

Happy Valley is heading into its third season, set to premiere on AMC+ in the U.S. and BBC in the U.K. Filming has begun, and we can look for Sarah Lancashire as Sergeant Catherine Cawood and James Norton as Tommy Lee Royce.
In the forthcoming season, Royce is still in prison for the crimes he committed earlier in the series. But when investigating a recent murder, it leads Sergeant Cawood back to Royce.
The third and final season is set to premiere in 2023. In the meantime, let’s take a peek at the two in character:

The story doesn't stop there. Cawood's grandson, who is Royce's son, is now a teenager (Rhys Connah).

You can look for other returning cast members like Shia Bennison as Joyce, Shane Zaza as Shafiq, Chord Melodic as Sledge, Siobhan Finneran as Clare and Mete Dursun as Gorkem. And new faces, including Oliver Huntingdon (The Rising), Jack Bandeira (Sex Education), Alec Secareanu (God’s Own Country), and Anthony Flanagan (Gentleman Jack).
