Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson revealed the first image of Vanessa Kirby on the set of the Fast and Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw yesterday (October 29).

It's the Mission: Impossible star's latest foray into action movies since leaving The Crown, where she played the Queen's fun-loving sister Princess Margaret. In it, she plays Hattie Shaw, an MI6 operative who apparently spends her time off drinking with Hobbs (Johnson).

Vanessa shared the same photo on her Instagram page, albeit in black and white, adding the caption: "Juuust gently showin this guy the ropes. V gently of course," before tagging in co-stars The Rock, Idris Elba and Jason Statham, among others.

Her character Hattie is the sister of Deckard Shaw (Statham), whose blood boils at the thought of her hanging out with his nemesis, even if the pair do have to team up to battle the villainous Brixton (Elba).

We got a peek at the latter in character a few weeks ago too, thanks to The Rock's prolific Instagram account. So if you want to see the rest of the cast, including its latest addition of Ray Donovan star Eddie Marsan, then The Rock is definitely worth a follow.

Hobbs & Shaw is due to open in theaters on August 2, 2019.
