Uma Thurman has been a presence on the big screen for a while now, starring in action flicks like 1994’s Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill series (2003-2011).
It may seem like this is her first time popping up on TV, set to star in the Apple TV+ series Suspicion, but she recently starred in 2019’s Chambers and was spotted in Imposters (2018-2019).
Suspicion falls under one of our favorite genres, that being a British/American hybrid, reports Variety.
Thurman is set to portray a high-profile businesswoman, whose son is kidnapped in plain sight from a hotel in NYC. Not just plain sight, but it’s even caught on security camera, pegging four British guests of the hotel as possible suspects.
Here’s a peek at Thurman in character as a very worried mother:
And, here's a peek at some questionable characters:
The series is an English-language adaptation of the 2015 Israeli series, entitled False Flag.
In the original series, the suspects have no idea they are implicated in a missing-person case until seeing themselves on the news.
The Apple TV+ description, reads: “As they find themselves in a trans-Atlantic cat-and-mouse race to evade the combined forces of the National Crime Agency and the FBI to prove their innocence, it becomes apparent that not everyone can be trusted.”
Trans-Atlantic? Cat-and-mouse race? Sounds like our kind of mystery-thriller.
The eight-part series is set to premiere on the streaming service on February 4.
