Ever since Gavin and Stacey's 2019 festive special ended on a major cliffhanger, fans have been clamoring for another episode.

Though writer-creators James Corden and Ruth Jones have yet to confirm whether they're working on another special, cast member Larry Lamb is clearly still confident.

"After how well the Christmas special went down last year, it's highly unlikely there won't be more," he told the Daily Telegraph. "We're all ready, but when it'll be, that's up to James, Ruth Jones and the BBC."

Continuing, the 73-year-old actor added jokingly: "I just hope they knock another one out before I'm dead. That or they can start at the graveside."

After the 2019 special became the U.K.'s most-watched scripted program of the decade, Corden and Jones hinted that the show could return again.

Last year's special was the first new episode of Gavin & Stacey since 2010, when the show ended its three-season run on BBC One in the U.K. and BBC America in the U.S. Every key cast member returned for the special, with the exception of the late Margaret John, who played Stacey's salty neighbor Doris. The veteran Welsh actress passed away in 2011 at the age of 84, and Corden and Jones dedicated the special to her memory.

Though there was no Gavin and Stacey special this year, the majority of the show's cast – including Lamb – appeared on a bumper Christmas Day radio show hosted by Joanna Page (Stacey) and Mathew Horne (Gavin).

Are you still feeling confident that James Corden and Ruth Jones will write another Gavin and Stacey episode?
