Graham Norton will be one of four presenters hosting this year's Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final in Liverpool, England.

He will co-host the iconic singing competition alongside Ted Lasso actress Hannah Waddingham, Ukrainian singer Julia Sanina, and British singer Alesha Dixon. Norton is already synonymous with Eurovision after commentating on the annual contest for the BBC since 2009. This year, in addition to hosting, he will share commentating duties with former The Great British Baking Show presenter Mel Giedroyc.

Held every year since 1956, with a break in 2020 because of the pandemic, Eurovision sees countries from all over Europe compete in a competition to determine the best original song. Past winners of the event, which attracts a global TV audience of 160 million, include Celine Dion, ABBA, and Italian rock band Måneskin.

It is customary for the contest to be hosted by the country that won the previous year's event. However, because last year's Eurovision was won by Ukraine's entrants, rap band Kalush Orchestra, the UK has stepped in to host this year's proceedings. It's an arrangement that reflects the fact that British entrant Sam Ryder finished as runner-up last year behind Kalush Orchestra.

This year's Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final will take place on May 13. In the meantime, you can catch Norton on his weekly chatshow, which now premieres Sundays at 11pm on BBC America. This week's guests include Dame Judi Dench, Michael B. Jordan, Hugh Jackman, and Paul Rudd.

You can relive some of Norton's wittiest moments commentating on last year's contest below.
