Warning: This story contains a spoiler for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
We've really enjoyed Hugh Grant's recent "Hughassaince" with revitalizing roles in Paddington 2, The Undoing, and A Very English Scandal. He appears open to all kinds of projects these days, including a playful cameo in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
Grant makes a surprise appearance in the mystery movie as Philip, a character who opens the door when Helen Brand (Janelle Monáe) comes looking for Daniel Craig's Benoit Blanc. Since the movie debuted on Netflix in late December, fans have been wondering whether Grant's character is Blanc's partner, or simply his assistant.
Confirming the former is very much the case, Grant told Collider: "It is true, I'm married to James Bond."
He added: "It's the tiniest little moment. I don't really know why they wanted to do it but anyway, I thought Knives Out 1 was brilliant, and so yeah, I thought why not? I turn up for a few hours..."
Grant's co-star Daniel Craig talked about playing Benoit Blanc during his recent visit to The Graham Norton Show, which you can watch here. Meanwhile, we can look for Grant next in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, a fantasy movie based on the popular roleplay game, which opens in theaters on March 31.
