Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is at it again, writing the screenplay for the forthcoming war drama All the Light We Cannot See, reports ComingSoon.net.
With Knight handling writing duties, Shawn Levy will direct.
The four-part series is based on Anthony Doerr’s 2014 novel by the same name.
It was previously announced, Aria Mia Loberti will be taking on the lead role, as a teenager living in occupied France during WWII.
Laurie is set to portray the role of a man named Etienne LeBlanc, a WWI war hero.
They both have their struggles, with the teen being blind and LeBlanc suffering from PTSD.
According to the description, the teen comes across the older gentleman, and the two fight to make sense of the chaos that comes with living in occupied France.
We can also look for Mark Ruffalo as the teen’s father.
This is Loberti’s acting debut, having landed the role as part of an open casting call.
There’s no start date as of yet, but once completed, we can look for the limited series over at Netflix.
