You know we love a two-for-one deal. We have casting news for two Anglo regulars, with Jamie Bell signing on to star opposite Elisabeth Moss in the forthcoming Shining Girls, reports Deadline.

You may have first been introduced to Moss as Peggy Olson in AMC's groundbreaking Mad Men (2007-2015), followed by another acclaimed role in the adaptation of Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale (2017-present). Bell made his breakthrough as a child star in 2000's Billy Elliot and more recently starred in Tom Clancy's Without Remorse (2021).

The two are now teaming up for a thriller series, set to premiere on Apple TV+. Based on Lauren Beukes' 2013 novel, the story revolves around a journalist named Kirby (Moss), who survives an attempt on her life. Rather than wallowing or living in fear, she seeks out the person who tried to kill her.

Bell is set to play a "mysterious loner," who has some sort of connection to Kirby.

If you'd like to get a head start on the storyline, here's a peek at a New York Times book review.

The start date has yet to be announced, but we can look for Silka Luisa (Strange Angel) to act as a showrunner.

What do you think about this pairing?
