Kate Winslet is said to be "fine" after suffering an on-set injury while shooting her upcoming movie Lee in Croatia.
Deadline reports that the actress experienced a fall while making the film about Vogue model-turned-World War II photojournalist Lee Miller. Winslet's rep has since given an update to the same publication, confirming that the accident wasn't serious enough to halt production.
“Kate slipped and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure required by the production," the rep said. "She is fine and will be filming, as planned, this week."
As we reported last October, Winslet's castmates in Lee include Josh O'ConnorJude Law, Marion Cotillard, and Andrea Riseborough. Directed by Ellen Kuras, the movie will dramatize Miller's transition from a fine art photographer to a fearless photojournalist who chronicled the horrors of World War II in London, Paris, and several German concentration camps.
At the time, Winslet insisted the film "is absolutely not a biopic" because it focuses on just one period of Miller's remarkable life. The actress said of Miller's legacy: "What she did, as a female photographer on the front lines during WWII, so much of what was documented was not just giving a voice to the voiceless, but it was educating people on what actually happened during the war. You have to remember, people were trying to cover it up. She had to make them believe it, because no one would."
