Lily James to Star in Comic Relief Pantomime with Guest Appearances From Miranda Hart, David Tennant, and Lenny Henry

Lily James is to star in this year's BBC Comic Relief pantomime, a version of Beauty and the Beast described as "a festive panto delight."
She will play Beauty opposite Oliver Chris (Motherland, The Office) as the Beast in a pantomime – or traditional British comedy musical – co-written by Richard Curtis (Love Actually, Notting Hill), according to a BBC press release.
It's a follow-up to last year's inaugural BBC Comic Relief pantomime, a version of Cinderella with Olivia Colman, Regé-Jean Page, and Helena Bonham Carter that raised nearly £900,000 ($1.18 million) for Comic Relief.
Beauty and the Beast's stellar cast also includes Kiell Smith-Bynoe (Stath Lets Flats), Susan Wokoma (Enola Holmes), Celia Imrie (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel), Sian Gibson (Car Share), Pam Ferris (Call The Midwife), and Friday Night Dinner's Simon Bird and Tom Rosenthal.
Meanwhile, it's been promised that Miranda Hart, Lenny Henry, David Tennant, Michael Sheen, and David Walliams will all make guest appearances.
Curtis, the panto's exec producer as well as Comic Relief's co-founder, said in the press release: “I don’t know that we’ve ever done anything for Comic Relief which was more full of a sense of fame and fun – last year the show made nearly a million pounds, and I’m really hoping that Beauty and the Beast will also raise a beautiful amount of cash for all our brilliant projects at a pretty beastly time.”
In the U.K., Beauty and the Beast will air on December 19 on BBC Two.
