'Loki' Star Gugu Mbatha-Raw Talks About Resuming Filming: 'It's Great to Be Back'

Just yesterday, we mentioned the cast of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3 is back on-set. And now the Loki TV series has also made its return, which you can look for on Disney+ once completed.

While things may not be back to normal-normal, these feel like steps in the right direction...

Tom Hiddleston is set to reprise his role as Loki, the God of Mischief, who we first met on-screen in 2011's Thor.

We can also look for Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Misbehavior) in the forthcoming TV series. Her casting was announced earlier this year, but filming was cut short.

She talked to Forbes about getting to set and then having to leave, saying, "I was in the middle of filming when the pandemic happened, so I had a real break, I’ve been painting and reading. Like so many others, I was at home for a long time.”

In the interview, she tries to put a positive spin on the isolating experience, saying, “Not to make light of the suffering going on, but in some ways, it has been an opportunity for me to get a fresh perspective on things. It is downtime that perhaps I might not have had, and now I’m thankful to be back to work. It’s been a journey for everyone, but it’s all for a greater reason and the greater good.”

She didn't use the time to binge on the Marvel movies, though, as she's already seen a lot of them.

In regards to what we can look for in Loki... she's pretty tight-lipped (as she should be), saying, "I’m obviously sworn to secrecy about everything to do with Loki, but it feels great to be back."

She rounded off the topic with hope of moving forward: "Everyone is trying to do it as safely as possible under the circumstances, and it feels good. I’m excited. It’s a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to see it.”

We're looking forward to it, too. Can't get enough Loki on this end.

While he's a part-time baddie, he's just so charming:
