Lucy Liu and Ginnifer Goodwin to Lead 'Why Women Kill' Series
First things first, Why Women Kill is a comedy; a dark comedy to be more exact. Casting has begun, with Lucy Liu (Elementary) and Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time) to be the first actors confirmed.
The story revolves around three women, living in three separate decades. According to Deadline Hollywood, we can look for a housewife in the 1960s, a socialite in the 1980s and a lawyer in 2018. All three women have something in common, each is dealing with infidelity.
Goodwin will take on the role of the housewife, named Beth Ann. Beth Ann plays the role of the doting wife, hiding any frustrations she may be dealing with. But when she learns her husband is having an affair, there is a huge shift in her temperament.
Liu will be playing a woman named Simone, but it's not yet confirmed which decade Simone lives in. The third actress to round out the cast has yet to be announced.
The comedy-drama is coming from Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, which may give a little insight in terms of the dark humor we can expect.
Why Women Kill is set to stream online via CBS All Access, with a start date still to come.
