Mads Mikkelsen Makes Gellert Grindewald His Own in ‘The Secrets of Dumbledore’ Trailer

The first look trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore released in December 2021.
We saw Eddie Redmayne return as Newt Scamander and Jude Law reprising his role as Albus Dumbledor. There was also a glimpse of Mads Mikkelsen taking on the role of Gellert Grindewald.
Now there's a new trailer, and this time around, we get more of Mikkelsen.
He not only owns the role, but he makes us forget that someone else played it before (all due respect).

Since this is the follow-up to 2018’s The Crimes of Grindewald and some time has passed, we think that's made enough room for another actor to step in.
While we enjoy Mikkelsen’s performance, we must remember: Dumbledore is a baddie.
In the above clip, we hear him say, “The time is close, my brothers and sisters. Our war with the Muggles begins today!”
Umm, yeah, we fall under Muggles. Our allegiance is with Scamander and friends.

In case you missed it, here is the official synopsis: “Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches, and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?”
You can look for The Secrets of Dumbledore on April 15.
