Maisie Williams Stars in Creepy Clip for Home-Invasion Movie 'The Owners'

We first met Maisie Williams as Arya Stark in the groundbreaking fantasy series Game of Thrones (2011-2019). Since GoT, she joined the X-Men franchise, starring in the 2020 spinoff series The New Mutants. And, of course, we can't forget her three-story arc in Doctor Who.

What is she up to now? We can look for Williams in the forthcoming home invasion movie The Owners, from director Julius Berg (The Crimson Rivers).

A new clip has just been released and we see Williams as a young woman named Mary in a very dicey situation:

The story is based on Belgian artist Hermann Huppen's comic book, revolving around childhood friends Nathan and Terry, now 20. They find themselves broke and desperate, living in rural England. Against their better judgment, a new friend talks them into a robbing a house.

Williams' character Mary is girlfriend to Nathan, but she's no doting wallflower. Mary is the sole voice of reason in this ill-fated plan. When the owners return unexpectedly, Mary is left to fight for her life.

Filming is complete, which took place in Kent, England, shot in a Victorian mansion. The cast is rounded out with Ian Kenney (Dublin Murders), Andrew Ellis (This Is England '90) and Jake Curran (Journey's End). We can also look for Doctor Who alum Sylvester McCoy as the alarming home owner Mr. Huggins, with Rita Tushingham (In the Flesh) playing his just as unnerving wife.

The Owners will premiere on Video on Demand on February 22.

Are you up for some more Maisie?
