You know we love a good British/American hybrid project, even if it’s just based on casting.
And here we are again: Adam Sandler and Jennifer Anniston are reuniting for the follow-up to their 2019 crowd-pleaser Murder Mystery, reports ComingSoon.net.
We can look for Mark Strong to add some panache to the already fun and flirty flick.
In the original movie, Sandler’s character tries to do right by his wife (Anniston), living up to a promise made years ago and taking her on a European vacation. Things go awry when they find themselves involved in a murder.
Not just involved — they are the accused.
There’s no logline for the sequel’s storyline, but it’s been reported filming will take place in Paris and the Caribbean.
With the title of the film being Murder Mystery 2, it seems we can expect another whodunit.
It’s not just Strong who is joining the dynamic duo. There’s a whole batch of new faces to look for, including Mélanie Laurent, Jodie Turner-Smith, Kuhoo Verma, Enrique Arce, Tony Goldwyn, Annie Mumolo and Zurin Villanueva.
Also, you can look for returning cast members Adeel Akhtar and John Kani.
There’s no premiere date just yet, but when ready, we can look for Murder Mystery 2 over at Netflix.
Has Mark Strong's addition piqued your interest?
