Deadpool star Morena Baccarin has signed on to star opposite Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy) for the upcoming action film Waldo, reports ComingSoon.net.

Hunnam will take on the title role, Charlie Waldo. He is deemed a brilliant former LAPD detective, who left the force in disgrace after a misstep in a murder case. He is now living a solitary life deep in the woods.

The film is based on Howard Michael Gould‘s 2018 novel Last Looks, which describes Waldo as a minimalist, with the book jacket saying he's “pathologically committed to owning no more than one hundred possessions.” His self-imposed solitude comes to an end when a famous TV star’s wife is murdered in their own home.

Waldo's girlfriend, Lorena (Eiza González), draws him out of seclusion to investigate the murder. It's yet to be announced what role Baccarin will be playing.

We can also look for Mel Gibson and Dominic Monaghan. Author Gould has also written the script. Tim Kirby (Fleabag) will be directing. Waldo will premiere in 2020.
