Anthony Hopkins has signed on for a new movie, entitled Zero Contact. We can look for Hopkins as Finley Hart in the forthcoming high-tech thriller, reports ComingSoon.net.
According to the description, Hart is an “eccentric genius.” In the recently released trailer, we learn Hart has passed away, and his death triggers a chain of events. But, prior to leaving this world, Hart made a video for his son, saying, “Here’s the deal, I’m going to need your help to stop a global, killing, disaster event.”
Whoa, those are some very alarming last words. But, he’s the dad and he’s given his son a directive. The question is, will he understand and be able to carry out his father’s final wish?
His son (Chris Brochu) and four others have been selected by Hart to continue the work he was doing, which if successful, will result in time travel. The new trailer helps map out the plan:

The official synopsis describes what to look for: “Starring Academy Award winner Anthony Hopkins, this high-tech thriller chillingly reimagines our isolated, virtual world. Hopkins plays Finley Hart, the eccentric genius behind a global data-mining program. Upon his death, five remote agents — including Finley’s son — are contacted by a mysterious A.I. entity to reactivate the initiative, which may enable time travel. As sinister events occur at each of the agents’ homes, they must decide whether entering their passwords will save the world…or destroy it.”
That is quite a decision to make. You can look for Zero Contact on May 27.
