New Trailer: Bruce Willis Stars in Action Film 'Hard Kill'

It's been a minute since we've seen Bruce Willis in an action film, but it's been worth the wait. He's back and he's still got it, starring in the forthcoming thriller Hard Kill, reports ComingSoon.net.

The trailer just released today, where we see Willis playing the role of billionaire tech CEO Donovan Chalmer. He's created a clock that can change the world if triggered, and he's hired a group of mercenaries to protect his invention.

Good call to get some security, but it's not enough, with his daughter being kidnapped by terrorists, changing the game on him.

That's a lot going on in one short description, but... it is action.

In the below clip we see Chalmer giving a bit of a pep talk, "If you want to survive, we are going to have to work together."

There are a lot of punches being thrown, guns being shot and some very memorable, if not cringe-worthy, one-liners in the first look footage. And, if you think you spotted Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe, you were right. He appears to be the leader of the mercenaries-for-hire.

The story is by newcomers Nikolai From and Clayton Hugh, with the script by Chris Lamont (Dark, Deadly & Dreadful) and Joe Russo (The Au Pair Nightmare). Matt Eskandari, who worked with Willis on Survive the Night, is on board to direct.

You can look for Hard Kill in theaters and VOD on August 28.
