New Trailer: Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan Star in Romantic Drama 'Wild Mountain Thyme'
Emily Blunt (The Girl on the Train) and Jamie Dornan (The Fall) are set to star as possible love interests in the forthcoming feature Wild Mountain Thyme, based on John Patrick Shanley’s 2014 Broadway play.
We say "possible" as there is strife between their families, feuding over land that separates their farms in Ireland, where the story is set.
Blunt takes on the role of Rosemary, with Dornan stepping in as Anthony. Rosemary and Anthony have known each other since childhood, growing up next to one another. Now that they're adults, Anthony has feelings for Rosemary, that he keeps to himself.
It's not quite clear if the feelings are reciprocated. And, when Anthony's American cousin (Jon Hamm) comes for a visit, he proves to be a romantic rival, whisking Rosemary away to NYC for just 24 hours:
It seems Rosemary is conflicted: she could go with the American who says what he means. Or, wait for Anthony to get up the gumption to express his true feelings.
In the above trailer, we see Rosemary grab Anthony by the arms and say to him, "Anthony, time is running out."
She's trying to help him see what is happening right before him. Maybe, she's not all that conflicted? And Anthony is the one who holds her heart.
We're intrigued to see who Rosemary ends up with, if it's in fact one of the two men.
Wild Mountain Thyme is scheduled to premiere on December 11.
